Following the launch of West Ham United’s Away Kit - The Cockney Kit - earlier this week, three of the kits have been taken to landmark locations in east London and Essex for Hammers fans to get their hands on!
Our Cockney Kit is inspired by the Hammers’ East End roots and is a reflection of the Club’ community in the vibrant heart of London, celebrating the collective identity shared.
Our Cockney Kit comes in a black design, complemented by a Claret trim and incorporating unmistakably east London elements, with the iconic St Mary-le-Bow church woven into the fabric.
As part of the campaign launch video, which showcases the characters and stories of people and places that make our community the vibrant, authentic heart of London that it is, the kits were taken to three of the main landmark locations that featured prominently in the cinematic film.
The first three fans to arrive at each of the locations - a well-known Ghanaian restaurant, a snooker club and a famous East End pub - at opening time on Wednesday and reveal their support for West Ham United, will be gifted a Cockney Kit shirt on behalf of the Club, as we celebrate our heritage.
The film features Hammers men’s first team stars such as Mohammed Kudus and James Ward-Prowse, alongside east Londoner and Academy graduate George Earthy and women’s first team players Anouk Denton, Riko Ueki and Kristie Mewis.
