West Ham United can confirm that Callum Marshall has joined EFL League One side Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan.
A prolific goalscorer since joining the West Ham United Academy in January 2022, Marshall is set to continue his development at the Terriers under the guidance of Northern Irish compatriot Michael Duff.
Huddersfield head coach Duff will be well equipped to offer valuable guidance to Marshall, having competed in all of the top eight steps of the English football pyramid and represented his country on 24 occasions.
The 19-year-old joins Huddersfield as they push for promotion back to the Championship in their first season in EFL League One in 13 years. The West Yorkshire outfit will begin their league campaign tomorrow with an away fixture against Peterborough.
Marshall, who signed for West Ham United from NIFL Premiership side Linfield, has flourished in east London. A consistent goalscorer, Marshall was a key component in the young Hammers' historic 2022/23 season which saw them clinch the Premier League South and FA Youth Cup double. He continued his fine form into the following campaign, netting 18 goals in just 14 Premier League 2 appearances.
The loan move will be a crucial step in Marshall's development, as he looks to build on his senior football experience. Following his debut for the Hammers in the FA Cup in January this year, Marshall made three appearances during a loan spell with promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion, and will now look to make his mark in Huddersfield.
Everyone at West Ham United wishes Callum all the best in his first full-season loan, and we look forward to seeing his continued development with Huddersfield Town.
