West Ham United are pleased to confirm that promising forward Callum Marshall has joined the Academy of Football on a full-time Scholarship deal.
The 17-year-old signs from NIFL Premiership leaders Linfield, for whom he made the first five senior appearances of his career this season.
Growing up in the Northern Irish townland of Glengormley, Marshall – previously also at Glentoran – made his professional debut for Linfield in the County Antrim Shield in October.
The teenager went on to open his senior account with a goal in an 11-0 League Cup win over PSNI FC the following month, as well as record two top-flight league appearances before the turn of the year.
Following a successful trial period at the Academy prior to the festive break, Marshall will now look to build on a promising start to his career under the tutelage of the coaches at Chadwell Heath.
Academy Manager Ricky Martin said: “I’d like to welcome Callum to West Ham United. We’re delighted to have him sign for the Club.
“Callum came over before Christmas and trained with our U18s squad. He made a really big impact and impression here, so we’re now excited to welcome him to east London and into our Academy of Football family.
