The 26-year-old started the campaign in style, netting a sensational strike from distance in the 1-1 season opener at AFC Bournemouth.
Bowen then helped the Hammers to a 3-1 win against Chelsea in the side’s first home match of the new campaign before putting in a brilliant showing in a 3-1 win away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Against the Seagulls, Bowen grabbed West Ham’s second with a brilliant piece of control, from Saïd Benrahma’s lobbed pass, before poking home, before lifting in an assist for Michail Antonio to add the Iron’s third just minutes later.
The forward had three goal involvements in the Premier League in August, a joint-highest in the division, with his run of form helping to temporarily put the Hammers top of the division!
Also nominated for August’s award is Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur’s James Maddison, Bryan Mbuemo of Brentford, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and Manchester City’s Rodri.
