Bowen named in England training squad ahead of UEFA Euro 2024

West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen has been included in England’s 33-man provisional squad for UEFA Euro 2024.

The 27-year-old will link up with the Three Lions for warm-up friendlies against Bosnia & Herzegovina at St James’ Park on Monday 3 June (7.45pm BST) and Iceland at Wembley on Friday 7 June (7.45pm BST), as he bids for a seat on the plane to Germany.

Boss Gareth Southgate will analyse his options up close in training at St George’s Park and in match action over the next two-and-a-half weeks, before naming his final 26-man selection on Saturday 8 June.

Jarrod Bowen

Recently-crowned Hammer of the Year Bowen has impressed throughout 2023/24, finishing as the Club’s top scorer by netting 20 times in all competitions, and equalling Paolo Di Canio’s record for goals in a single Premier League season (16).

While he struck a career-first hat-trick against Brentford in February and also chipped in with ten assists from various positions at the top end of the field, our No20 won two of his seven England caps during the last international window in March.

Having made his debut against Hungary back in June 2022, Bowen started for the Three Lions against Belgium two months ago, three days after coming off the bench at home to five-time world champions Brazil.

England are set to get their Euro 2024 campaign underway against Serbia at 8pm BST on Sunday 16 June in Gelsenkirchen, before further Group C fixtures against Denmark (5pm BST, Thursday 20 June) and Slovenia (8pm BST, Tuesday 25 June) in Frankfurt and Cologne respectively.
