It has been quite the week for Jarrod Bowen.
Fresh from playing his part in helping West Ham United secure a dramatic 2-2 draw with Newcastle United last Saturday, the 26-year-old then put pen-to-paper on a new long term contract with the Club.
Now he could cap a remarkable seven days with his first Wembley appearance as England host Australia in an international friendly on Friday evening.
Bowen's red-hot run at the start of the new campaign - which has brought five goals in eight Premier League starts - has earned him a recall to the Three Lions.
Having brushed off the disappointment of missing out on selection for last winter's FIFA World Cup finals by producing what he calls the best form of his career - including the winner in June's UEFA Europa Conference League final - Bowen is ready for his second chance with his country.
"I was disappointed to miss out on the World Cup but that's what happened," Bowen said.
"I had to deal with it and all I could do is keep playing football to a level that I know that I can play at and everything will take care of itself.
"I had a really good pre-season, had some good games, scored goals there and you can take confidence and momentum from each game that you play.
"For me, that's all I've tried to be doing. Keep playing football with a smile on my face because you know that what makes me a good player, when I'm playing with a smile on my face."
"Playing at Wembley would be the ultimate. As a little boy you dream of playing for your country and you never think it is going to happen, but now I am here, I want to play at Wembley and hopefully I get the opportunity to do so."
