Jarrod Bowen made his second appearance of UEFA Euro 2024 as England secured a 1-1 draw with Denmark in Group C on Thursday evening.
The Three Lions extended their unbeaten start to the competition in Frankfurt, but would have hoped for more after Harry Kane tapped them into an 18th minute lead.
Just as against Serbia in their tournament opener, England struck early - this time profiting from a Denmark mistake as Kyle Walker pounced on some hesitant play from Victor Kristiansen to cross low for Kane to finish.
Denmark responded well to their setback and levelled 16 minutes later through Morten Hjulmand's stunning long-range drive.
Phil Foden struck the post from outside the box in the second half, but the remainder of the contest proved to be frustrating for Gareth Southgate's men, who struggled to get to grips with their opponents throughout.
Bowen was introduced from the bench with 21 minutes to go as England sought for a rousing finish, and although fellow sub Ollie Watkins was denied by Kasper Schmeichel soon afterwards, England could not find a winner.
The Hammers forward now has ten senior caps and will hope to add to that tally when his side take on Slovenia in the group stage finale in Cologne on Tuesday.
England need a point to make sure of their place in the round of 16, and would guarantee top spot with victory.
