Jarrod Bowen has been called-up to the England squad for two important UEFA Nations League B Group 2 ties with Greece and Republic of Ireland.
The West Ham United captain has been added to Lee Carsley’s Three Lions squad for the final two group-stage ties of the 2024/25 Nations League season during the November international window.
England travel to the Olympic Stadium in Athens to take on Greece, who have included West Ham’s Dinos Mavropanos in their squad, on Thursday 14 November at 7.45pm GMT.
The Three Lions then return to London to host the Republic of Ireland at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 17 November at 5pm GMT.
England most likely need two victories to secure top spot and promotion back to League A, as they kick-off the final two match rounds on nine points, three behind Greece, who travel to Finland for their final fixture.
Bowen was included in England’s squad for their opening two fixtures in September, appearing off the substitutes’ bench in 2-0 wins away in Ireland and at home to Finland.
The 27-year-old has earned 12 senior caps since making his debut in a Nations League tie in Hungary in June 2022, and will hope to score his first goal for his country this week.
Bowen is one of a number of Hammers who have been included by their countries for international duty, and whufc.com will report on how they fare over the coming days.
