Saïd Benrahma is confident West Ham United possess the talent and ability to keep picking up wins and climb up the Premier League table.
The Hammers return to domestic action on Saturday with a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley, and go into the fixture on the back of three points earned against Nottingham Forest before the international break.
Having shown resiliency to come from behind to win against Forest, Benrahma is backing the Irons to continue their winning ways this weekend.
“The Nottingham Forest win was a good one for us,” the Algerian said. “It was a win we needed because we had some bad results in the last couple of weeks before. Nottingham Forest was a difficult match but we were able to come back from being behind.
“We were competitive, we got the win and I hope we can continue that this weekend at Burnley.”
It has been a difficult start to the campaign for Burnley, having returned to the top flight from the Championship, but Benrahma is anticipating a tough test for the Irons at Turf Moor.
The 28-year-old understands the threats Vincent Kompany’s side will offer against him and his teammates.
“There are no easy games when you play in the Premier League. We are preparing in the same way as we did in the last game. We just need to go out and play well, and we need to get the win.
“We’re looking for another three points. We’re doing the work we need to do in order to get a win.”
Having returned to winning ways last time out, David Moyes and his West Ham team are now set for the busy end-of-year schedule, and Benrahma knows the Hammers face a pivotal few weeks in their league campaign.
Having played in Europe for the last three seasons, the No22 is targeting another spot in a European competition in the 2024/25 campaign.
“We started the season well,” Benrahma added. “We had a bit of a dip after that but we’re getting back to the best form. We’ve been working hard to get back up the league and we have a good team. We have a good team and I know we’ve got wins coming our way if we keep playing this way.
“We’re aiming to finish in the top seven or even the top six. We have a team good enough to do that. We’re aiming for a high position in the league. We just need to work and focus and play football in our style.”
