West Ham United women’s team forward Viviane Asseyi has been nominated for the PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month award for March.
The 31-year-old enjoyed another impressive few weeks for Rehanne Skinner’s side, scoring once and providing one assist in three appearances.
Asseyi played her part by providing the assist for Amber Tysiak’s opener as the Hammers started the month with a slender 4-3 defeat to Arsenal at Meadow Park, and was West Ham’s hero against Tottenham Hotspur as her stunning 90th-minute free-kick - to secure a 2-0 win - saw her score her tenth goal in all competitions this season, and her sixth in the WSL, marking her best goalscoring campaign in a Claret and Blue shirt.

The Frenchwomen then produced another stellar display, this time in a 2-2 draw at Barclays Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea, to cap off a historic month where the Hammers set two new home records and went toe-to-toe with some of the toughest opponents the league has to offer.
Asseyi is nominated for the award alongside Arsenal duo Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo, Chelsea’s Erin Cuthbert, Manchester United’s Leah Galton and Yui Hasegawa of Manchester City.
