Three West Ham United Women's stars were in international action across Wednesday and Thursday!
Viviane Asseyi and Izzy Atkinson faced off against one-another at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin as their respective nations of France and Republic of Ireland continued their preparations for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The tournament is taking place in Australia and New Zealand later this month and Thursday's match between the two sides offered an opportunity to get some much need match action into the legs of both Herve Renard's side and Vera Pauw's team.
Both Asseyi and Atkinson started the match on the bench, with the latter being introduced after only 30 minutes when Arsenal's Katie McCabe was substituted.
After an impressive first 40 minutes from Republic of Ireland, it would be the away side that would strike against the run of play. Maelle Lakrar was the recipient of a lucky rebound and fired the ball from point-blank range beyond a helpless Brosnan.
And it was two before the half time whistle sounded, this time Engénie Le Sommer was the one to send a wonderful shot beyond Brosnan.
After a sobering first half for the home side, France stepped it up a gear and managed to find a third just after the hour mark. Kenza Dali delivered a teasing corner that wasn't dealt with, allowing Lakrar to add her second of the match and make it 3-0, which is how the contest would end.
Asseyi entered the field with four minutes of normal time, and will be hoping to see more action in France's final warm-up match ahead of the tournament, which will see them face hosts Australia on Friday 14 July.
Elsewhere, on Wednesday, Emma Snerle appeared a substitute for Denmark in a 2-0 defeat to Spain.
Snerle would feature for the final 13 minutes of the match at the Gladsaxe Stadium in Copenhagen, but she couldn't help her country find a way back into the game.
New Barcelona player Ona Batlle opened the scoring after only seven minutes in a game that saw the Spain dominate possession and have 20 shots on goal.
In the second half, Batlle's new Club teammate Salma Paralluelo added a second just after half time to seal the win.
Denmark will begin their World Cup campaign against China on Saturday 22 July.
