David Moyes has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Barclays Manager of the Month award for May - his fourth nomination of an unforgettable 2020/21 season!
Moyes led West Ham United to sixth in the table and qualification for the UEFA Europa League group stage at the end of a memorable campaign that saw his team amass a record Premier League points total, goal difference and number of away wins.
May was a microcosm of West Ham's season as the Irons bounced back from losing 1-0 at home to Everton to score a late leveller to draw 1-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion before beating West Bromwich Albion 3-1 at The Hawthorns and Southampton 3-0 in front of 10,000 supporters at London Stadium.
Those results saw the Hammers reclaim their place in the top six and hold off the challenge of Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and a late-charging Arsenal and Leeds United to secure European football.
For Moyes, who was also nominated for the Manager of the Month award in October, November and January, it was a fitting end to a season in which he has instilled belief and resilience in his staff and squad.
