West Ham United U23s concluded their Premier League 2 Division 1 campaign with a 2-2 draw against Arsenal U23s at Rush Green Stadium on Friday night.
Mipo Odubeko gave the young Hammers the lead in the second half, but Arsenal hit back from the penalty spot with 15 minutes to go through Nikolaj Moller.
Dmitri Halajko’s team got themselves back ahead through a close-range finish from a Trialist in the 87th minute but, despite looking well set to take all three points, Kido Taylor-Hart’s injury time goal for the visitors ensured the spoils were shared in East London.
The Academy of Football now require other results to go their way in the final round of Premier League 2 fixtures if they are to avoid finishing in the relegation zone.
