Jesse Lingard celebrates his goal against Arsenal

Jesse Lingard’s outstanding March has seen the West Ham United midfielder be nominated for two of the Premier League’s monthly awards - with voting open now!

The Hammers No11 is shortlisted for the Player of the Month prize for a second month in succession after continuing his fine start to life in Claret & Blue since arriving on loan from Manchester United in January, while his stunning goal against Arsenal earns him a place on the Budweiser Goal of the Month shortlist too.

Lingard played starring roles in the two March games he was eligible for - he was unable to face his parent club in the third game of the month - helping the Hammers defeat Leeds United 2-0 and draw 3-3 with London rivals Arsenal.

Against Marcelo Bielsa’s men, Lingard won the penalty which led to his opening goal midway through the first half, before Craig Dawson struck to confirm the hosts’ victory.

Then, against Arsenal, the England midfielder gave the Hammers a 15th-minute lead, controlling Michail Antonio’s pass 20 yards from goal, before lashing a right-footed half-volley into the top corner of the net.

Lingard wasn’t finished there, and he went on to assist Jarrod Bowen’s goal two minutes later with a quickly taken free-kick as David Moyes' side made a lightning-fast start en route to an eventual 3-3 draw.

With five goals and three assists to his name in just seven games as a Hammer, it has been a truly outstanding start to life in east London for Lingard, whose form earned him a recall to the England squad for this week’s internationals.

You can vote for Jesse by clicking here, and help Lingard beat fellow nominees Andreas Christensen of Chelsea, Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, Manchester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez, Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw and Leandro Trossard of Brighton & Hove Albion to the prize.

Voting closes at 6pm on Monday 29 March.

Lingard’s stunning strike against Arsenal, which arrowed into the top right-hand corner of the net beyond Bernd Leno’s dive, sees him make the shortlist for the Budweiser Goal of the Month too.

On that shortlist, Iheanacho, Kane and Trossard again provide competition, alongside Southampton striker Che Adams, Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela and Burnley wideman Dwight McNeil.
