It was a difficult evening for West Ham United U23s who lost 6-1 to Brighton & Hove Albion U23s at the Amex Elite Performance Centre in their latest Premier League 2 fixture.
The young Hammers had Frederick Alves sent off in just the sixth minute and faced an uphill battle from then on in East Sussex.
After conceding three in the first half, Mipo Odubeko got a goal back for Dmitri Halajko's side just before the break.
The hosts, however, added another three unanswered strikes in the second period and deservedly took the victory.
