The draw for this season's FA Youth Cup third round has been made, with West Ham United U18s set to travel to Luton Town U18s.
With a number of first and second-round games still to be played over the coming weeks, however, full dates and details for the tie against the Hatters remain to be confirmed.
In line with the competition’s schedule, the match must take place and be completed by Saturday 12 December.
Premier League and Championship clubs enter England's most prestigious youth team knockout competition at this point, with 64 teams due to still be in the competition at this stage.
Managed by U18s lead coach Kevin Keen, the junior Hammers have built up significant confidence and form in recent weeks, and currently sit ninth in the U18 Premier League South table after only six matches played.
West Ham have won the FA Youth Cup on three occasions previously – 1963, 1981 and 1999 – while also finishing as runners-up in four further seasons. Their last medals from the competition came courtesy of a resounding 9-0 victory over Coventry across a two-legged final in 1999.
Last season, the U18s bowed out to Charlton Athletic on penalties in the third round, after the two teams could not be separated in an epic 3-3 draw after extra-time.
Manchester City are this season’s defending champions.
