Darren Randolph could win his 50th Republic of Ireland cap this month after being called-up for his country’s three international matches in November.
The West Ham United goalkeeper has 47 caps to his name and will hit the half-century should he feature in a friendly with England and UEFA Nations League ties with Wales and Bulgaria.
The 33-year-old made his debut in a friendly win over Oman at Craven Cottage in September 2012 and he returns to west London when Ireland face England at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 12 November.
The Hammers stopper, who has been his country’s No1 since October 2015, was an unused substitute for the two nations’ most-recent meetings, both of which ended in draws, in May 2013 and June 2015.
The fixture, which could see Randolph face West Ham teammate Declan Rice, will be broadcast live in the UK by ITV, with kick-off at 8pm.
Following next week’s fixture, Ireland’s attention will turn to the Nations League and avoiding relegation from Group B4.
The Boys in Green have failed to win any of their opening four ties, collecting just two points after losing home and away to Finland, drawing 0-0 at home with Wales and 1-1 in Bulgaria.
Victories over Wales in Cardiff on Sunday 15 November and Bulgaria in Dublin on Wednesday 18 November would ensure Ireland finish third in their group and avoid demotion to League C.
The Wales fixture will be screened live in the UK by S4C and Sky Sports Football, with kick-off at 5pm, while the Bulgaria game will be shown live by Sky Sports Arena, kicking-off at 7.45pm.
