West Ham United women’s team are delighted to announce the signing of Filippa Wallén from IF Brommapojkarna.
The defender becomes West Ham’s second signing of the transfer window and will wear the No13 for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League side.

“Of course, West Ham play in the Women’s Super League, which is one of the biggest leagues in the world, and West Ham is such a big club. Everyone has heard of West Ham and I’ve heard so many good things about this club. I can’t wait to get going.”
Head coach Matt Beard has welcomed Wallén to his West Ham side and has backed the full-back to reach her potential with the Irons.
“Filippa is a talented and pacey full-back who has already shown her quality, despite her young age, in Swedish football,” Beard said. “I would like to welcome her to West Ham United and I am looking forward to working with Filippa in the coming months and seasons.”
A Swedish national, Wallén's journey into football saw the youngster represent AIK Fotboll in 2016, playing three matches.
The left-back signed for IF Brommapojkarna in 2017 and played in 21 of the team’s 22 league matches during the 2018 campaign, netting her first goal for the side in a 4-0 victory against DFK Värmbol.
With 25 competitive matches in all competitions in 2019 for the club, Wallén has also played international level football with Sweden U17s.
