West Ham United U21s were left to rue a lacklustre second-half display as they were knocked out of the Papa John's Trophy 3-0 by Peterborough United.
Mo Eisa (2) and Serhat Tasdemir were on target at London Road for the hosts - who were backed by just over 1000 supporters for the first time since March.
The experienced duo of Andriy Yarmolenko and Craig Dawson travelled north with Dmitri Halajko's side, but neither were able to help Hammers remain in the competition.
The U21s battled admirably in the torrential conditions and will now have to turn their attention back to the Premier League 2 campaign.
