On This Day: Mark Noble at the double as West Ham United dominate West Brom

Mark Noble scored twice as West Ham United dominated West Bromwich Albion on this day in 2016.

The Hammers traveled to The Hawthorns sitting sixth in the Premier League table and still harbouring real hopes of gate-crashing the top four and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

And those hopes grew as Slaven Bilic's side scored a convincing 3-0 win over the Baggies, extending their unbeaten Premier League run to six matches.

After Cheikhou Kouyate had opened the scoring by heading Dimitri Payet's cross past Ben Foster, captain Noble took centre stage, toe-poking home the second on the stroke of half-time before volleying Andy Carroll's cross into the roof of the net to complete the scoring eleven minutes from the end.

The victory took West Ham above Manchester United and up to fifth, five points behind Manchester City with three games to play.
