Lukasz Fabianski reiterated the Hammers' determination not to let the end to their 2018/19 season drift following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City.
West Ham were punished for a sloppy start to both halves in Wales, as Junior Hoilett and Victor Camarasa netted to leave them still looking for a first away victory of 2019.
That run sits in stark contrast to the east Londoners' home form - which has seen them now go nearly three months without defeat - so Fabianski is keen to achieve the consistency needed to keep the Hammers on course for a finish well inside the top ten.
With back-to-back home fixtures against Huddersfield Town and Everton to come, the stopper knows his team are capable of doing just that.
"It is very important that the season doesn't drift," he said. "We want to finish the season strongly. We have got eight games left and we would like to get as much as we can from them. We have another two home games now and that is important for us.
"It is hard to say why we've started slowly in some games recently. Against Newcastle at home we started really well. The team was up for it. The manager is very demanding and wants us to keep pushing, listen to him and react to his words.
"It is a new group, many changes have been made in the summer and it is always a process, it always takes time, we will continue to do our best to learn more from our mistakes and get better as a team."
