Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Basset & Gold....
West Ham United continued their preparations for a return to the Premier League by completing the signing of experienced Finland international goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen on this day in 2012.
The Hammers, who had been promoted via the Play-Offs, were managed at the time by Sam Allardyce, who had previously worked with Jaaskelainen at Bolton Wanderers.
The veteran made 61 appearances over three seasons with the Irons, the last of which saw him make a series of vital saves as ten-man West Ham grabbed a goalless draw at Southampton in February 2015.
Basset & Gold are West Ham United's official sleeve sponsor and eSports partner.
