West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has been honoured by the Premier League for reaching 200 career appearances in the competition.
Fabianski reached the double-century in December’s 2-1 victory at Southampton – and has now been presented with a special award to mark the occasion.
The Polish goalkeeper made his Premier League debut back in April 2008, in a 6-2 victory for Arsenal at Derby County, and has since gone on to play 32 times in the top flight for the Gunners, 149 for Swansea City and now 23 in Claret & Blue.
Speaking after excelling in that win at Southampton, the 33-year-old said: “I just felt good and, to be honest with you, in the back of my mind was that it was a special day for me because it was my 200th appearance in the Premier League, so I wanted to make it special and do my best to help the team in any situation possible.
“Luckily for me, we managed to win the game and I helped the team in some situations, so I’m really happy that my 200th appearance in the Premier League went this way."
