West Ham United’s scholars scored their first win of 2019 with a 2-0 U18 Premier League South victory over Norwich City on Saturday.
The Hammers, who had lost heavily at Southampton in their previous fixture, scored two first-half goals at Little Heath to complete a league double over the Canaries.
And fittingly the goals were shared between the same players who scored them in that win back in August – forwards Veron Parkes and Bernardo Rosa (pictured).
Parkes, 17, made it six goals in nine league appearances this season when he converted Will Greenidge’s pass on 32 minutes, before the same player provided his second assist of the game for Rosa, who doubled West Ham’s lead two minutes after half-time.
The Hammers will seek to make it back-to-back league wins for the first time since September when they host Swansea City, who they defeated 1-0 in Wales in August, at Little Heath next Saturday at 11am.
