Team news: Carroll starts in three changes, Nasri on the bench

Andy Carroll makes his first start of the season in one of three changes to West Ham United's starting XI for tonight's Premier League match with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Samir Nasri, who was announced as an Irons player on Monday, is on the bench for the first time.

Carroll has made seven appearances from the bench in the Premier League this campaign, with the most recent seeing the striker coming on at half-time against Burnley on Sunday, and the No9 is one of three players to come into today's starting side.

Pablo Zabaleta has recovered from illness, and is back in the team, while Pedro Obiang is also included.

Zabaleta replaces Michail Antonio in the line-up and Obiang comes in for captain Mark Noble.

Lukasz Fabianski continues in goal while Zabaleta will line up with Angelo Ogbonna, Issa Diop and Aaron Cresswell. Obiang will partner Declan Rice in midfield. The 19-year-old, who signed a new deal with West Ham last week, made the most appearances in the Premier League for the Irons in 2018, and will be looking to continue that run.

Robert Snodgrass and record signing Felipe Anderson are also both in the team to take on the Seagulls, as is Marko Arnautovic, after returning to the starting XI at Burnley. The Austrian will partner Carroll up front.

Nasri takes his place in a West Ham team for the first time since his signing was confirmed, with the Frenchman joining fellow former Arsenal player Lucas Perez on the bench.

Adrian, Antonio, Noble, Arthur Masuaku and Grady Diangana complete the squad.
