West Ham United's U23s suffered a London derby defeat by Chelsea on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.
Two early penalties – one for each side, scored by Billy Gilmour and Joe Powell for Chelsea and West Ham respectively – meant the scores were level at the break but a second half sending off for Tunji Akinola turned the game in the visitors' favour.
Charlie Brown scored the decisive second half strike to give his team all three points in Dagenham.
