Tottenham Hotspur will be West Ham United U23s’ first Premier League 2 opponents of the 2018/19 season when the two sides meet at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium on Monday 13 August.
The young Hammers faced Spurs three times last season in all competitions, picking up four points in the league against their London rivals.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are the east Londoners’ next three opponents in a tough start to the campaign, with the fixture against the Gunners – as was the case last season – scheduled to be played at London Stadium.
City will visit West Ham’s regular U23 home ground – Dagenham and Redbridge’s Chigwell Construction Stadium – on Sunday 19 August five days before the Friday visit of Arsenal. Games against Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea follow to complete the first six fixtures.
The Hammers’ other two games at London Stadium to make up the three required will be against Leicester City and Everton in the final two home games of the campaign in April.
The other games currently scheduled to be played at club’s first team grounds are visits to Brighton and Hove Albion's AMEX Stadium on Friday 14 September and newly-promoted Blackburn Rovers’ Ewood Park on Monday 26 November.
Terry Westley’s team finished fifth in Premier League 2 Division 1 last season, a superb first campaign in the top tier after their 2016/17 promotion campaign.
West Ham will also face FC Porto, Dinamo Zagreb and Southampton in the Premier League International Cup, though dates for the games are yet to be released, while similarly in the Checkatrade Trophy, away trips to Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers and Exeter City are yet to be scheduled.
