Michail Antonio and Angelo Ogbonna would love to recreate another classic West Ham United FA Cup tie when Birmingham City visit London Stadium in January, just as was the case when the pair scored in the 2015/16 replay victory over Liverpool.
Italian defender Ogbonna rose highest inside the penalty area to nod in an extra-time winner after Antonio’s opener had been cancelled out by Phillipe Coutinho.
The clash is remembered fondly by Hammers everywhere, including the duo who played such a pivotal role that night.
Antonio said: “The best memory I’ve had is the first year I was here. It was the Liverpool match when I scored a volley at the back stick, and Coutinho put one underneath the wall.
“Then Angelo scored in the 92nd minute. It was amazing.”
Ogbonna added: “It was a magic moment. That moment, not just for the goal, but it was the moment we turned around so everyone remembers that. I think it was the best moment.”
West Ham kick-off their challenge for a fourth FA Cup success on Saturday 5 January, when Birmingham City visit London Stadium, and you can be there in person - with the game not being on TV, the only way to see the game live!
Tickets for the 12.30pm kick-off start from just £10 for Adults and £1 for U16s.
Supporters on the Automatic Cup Scheme have had their tickets processed from Monday onwards, while supporters who will have to relocate from the Upper Sir Trevor Brooking Stand due to Birmingham City's 5,200-seat allocation are be able to select their alternative seats now.
Tickets are on sale to Season Ticket Holders and supporters with a previous West Ham booking history, with fans able to buy up to four tickets per client reference number.
