Declan Rice was able to reflect on a special week after the Hammers pulled off a third win in eight days on Saturday, but he does not want his team’s progress to stop there.
The 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace took Manuel Pellegrini’s men up to tenth in the Premier League table, before the rest of the weekend’s games were completed, and Rice wants to become a fixture in the top half of the table.
Having taken maximum points from Newcastle, Cardiff and Palace, Rice says the east Londoners must keep their foot on the pedal when they travel to Fulham this Saturday as he wants to keep on experiencing that winning feeling.
“It was another special win on Saturday and another three points to top off a special week,” he said.
“Looking at the three games we had – Newcastle, Cardiff in midweek and Palace – we knew it was going to be tough, so to come out of it with nine points is magnificent.
“We said at half time on Saturday we’re still in the game, we’ve got another 45 minutes, let’s go out there and try to do what we did against Cardiff.
“We got three quick goals and I thought we did really well in the second half. Snods has been excellent this year. Ever since he’s come back to the side he’s provided assists, he’s provided goals and he’s come up with a top goal on Saturday.
“I’m feeling fit and nine points from three games in a week means I’m feeling happy! We’ve got Fulham next and we’ll look forward to that. It’s a chance to get another three points and that’s what we going to try to do."
