Unsurprisingly, the newspapers, broadcasters and digital publishers are concentrating their coverage on the General Election fallout today.

And, when it comes to football, West Ham United's Premier League rivals appear to be the apple of the media's eye on Friday.

However, the Hammers do still feature, with two forwards being linked with moves to east London from their clubs in mainland Europe.

According to London's Evening Standard, reported West Ham and Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru has insisted he will only join a club where he will play next season. The prolific Nigerian turned out for Belgian First Division side Eupen last season, scoring 24 goals.

A second striker story appears courtesy of Sky Sports, who claim the Hammers are interested in signing Max Kruse from German Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen.

The 14-cap Germany international scored 15 goals in 23 games during his first season with Bremen and reportedly has a release clause of £10.4m.

Away from transfers, West Ham's Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass has been talking to the press ahead of Saturday's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash with England in Glasgow.

Club matters also arose in his interview, with the 29-year-old feeling optimistic about his first full season in a Claret and Blue shirt in the Daily Mail.
