In this morning's Mirror, the Hammers are linked with former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican is at German side Bayer Leverkusen now and notched an impressive 11 goals in 26 Bundesliga appearances last term.

This piece reckons the Hammers are prepared to meet a £13m release clause in his contract to bring him back to England.

The same newspaper report that West Ham are also interested in Burnley striker Andre Gary.

The 26-year-old is entering the last year of his contract at Turf Moor and the Hammers are eyeing up a £15m move.

Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Everton could enter the race for Arsenal's Olivier Giroud and are preparing a £20m move, should they lose Romelu Lukaku.
