West Ham United can confirm that the Premier League fixture with Chelsea at London Stadium will now be played on Monday 6 March at 8pm.
The match has been moved to be broadcast live on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, with the derby set to capture the imagination of football fans the world over.
The Hammers and the Blues have met twice already this season, with Antonio Conte’s side securing a controversial 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture in August, before Slaven Bilic’s side edged a thrilling EFL Cup fourth-round tie by the same scoreline in Stratford in October.
In all, the two London clubs have met 41 times in the Premier League, with Chelsea holding the overall edge with 23 wins to West Ham’s eleven, with seven draws.
Last season, the Hammers scored a memorable 2-1 win over the Stamford Bridge club on their final visit to the Boleyn Ground in October 2015, when Mauro Zarate and Andy Carroll scored the goals.
Ticket details for this fixture will be announced shortly on whufc.com.
