A new heart for east London, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is the city's newest park, a new home to thousands and a new destination for millions.
The Park is open for the public to visit and explore its unique parklands, waterways, venues and attractions.
The north of the Park and the Copper Box Arena opened in 2013 with a series of incredible festivals and concerts, while the south of the Park, including three iconic venues and the ArcelorMittal Orbit, opened in April 2014.
Hoops on the Park
The Copper Box Arena will also play host to Great Britain’s basketball stars as they step out to play three vital games in their bid to return to the FIBA EuroBasket Final Round.
Great Britain tackle FYR Macedonia on Saturday 3 September at 6.30pm, followed by the visit of Luxembourg on Wednesday 7 September and Hungary on Saturday 10 September.
With 3 September being a free weekend in the domestic football calendar, West Ham United fans can fill their sporting void by taking in some top-class hoops on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The midweek visit of Luxembourg tips-off at 7pm, while Hammers supporters can head straight from the Premier League visit of Watford to cheer on Team GB against the Hungarians from 6.30pm.
Joel Prunty’s squad features a mixture of domestic and overseas-based players, including US-born University of California, Irvine, guard Alex Young, former Rider University Broncs forward Teddy Okereafor, Charleston Southern University forward Will Saunders and Greece-based forward Robert Gilchrist.

National Paralympic Day and Liberty Festival 2016
Saturday 3 September is National Paralympic Day and Liberty Festival 2016.
For those West Ham United fans not heading to Vicarage Road to cheer on the Hammers against Watford, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s South Lawn is the place to be!
There, visitors will be able to get in the mood for the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games by trying out a range of para-sports and enjoy an incredible line-up of deaf and disability arts!
A ParalympicsGB Carnival will enable visitors to meet athletes, take photos with the Rio 2016 Paralympic Torch and watch demonstrations of Paralympic sports.
For those who want to get involved themselves, there will be a chance to try athletics, mini golf, football, netball, dance, wheelchair tennis, boxing, kurling and a range of other activities.
Liberty Festival 2016 will feature music, film, dance, visual arts, poetry and spoken word, street theatre and aerial performances and demonstrations by a fantastic line-up of deaf and disability performers.

Moondance Festival
Hopkins's Fields will play host to the Moondance Festival on Sunday 18 September 2016.
Moondance, which will run from 11am-10pm, will celebrate rave culture from its roots to the innovators of today.
With more than 180 acts across nine stages in this exciting new location in the North Park, Moondance Festival will celebrate the pioneers of dance music, showcasing the best in old skool, drum ‘n’ bass, garage, house, jungle and grime.

Get Pretty Muddy!
Race for Life Pretty Muddy on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will take place on Sunday 11 September 2016.
Pretty Muddy is a brilliant 5km muddy obstacle course where you can show cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink.
Bring a change of clothes for after your event and a towel to wipe off the worst of the mud; remember there are no showers or lockers at this Pretty Muddy event, but there will be a bag drop area.
Race for Life Pretty Muddy is a series of events taking place nationwide to raise funds and awareness for the charity Cancer Research UK.
Please note, you must be female and over 13 years old to take part in this event. Entry costs £19.99 for Over-16s and £10 for 13-15 year olds.

National Taekwondo Championships
The Copper Box Arena will stage the 2016 National Taekwondo Championships on 24 and 25 September 2016.
More than 800 competitors of all ages and abilities are expected to compete at the former Olympic venue for Taekwondo’s showpiece domestic competition.
The opening day will feature a wide range of novice age group competitions, earmarking potential stars of the future.
Rio 2016 Silver medallist Lutalo ‘The Walthamstow Warrior’ Muhammad won a Bronze at the Copper Box at London 2012 and is set to feature again next month.
