Joint-Chairman thrilled with Lanzini deal

Joint-Chairman David Sullivan believes Manuel Lanzini can become a star for both club and country over the next few years

West Ham United Joint-Chairman David Sullivan believes Manuel Lanzini can become a star for both club and country over the next few years and is thrilled to see the talented star pledge his long-term future to the Club.

Lanzini has been one of the star performers this season following his loan move from Al Jazira last summer and has now followed in the footsteps of Dimitri Payet and Cheikhou Kouyate by agreeing a new contract.

The Argentine forward has enjoyed a memorable first season in the Premier League and showed his quality once again at Chelsea last weekend when he scored another wonder goal.

Mr Sullivan has no doubts he can continue to show his best form for the east London Club and can also become a major player for Argentina over the next few years.

Mr Sullivan said: “Manuel is a fabulous player he is and we hope over the next five to six seasons that he can become a West Ham United legend and a star for the Argentina team.

He is a very special player and we are very proud that he has joined West Ham United.”
