I can reveal the Club are hoping to announce the imminent signing of a highly-rated young midfielder after he successfully underwent a medical today.
The youngster has been one of the star performers for his Club and will become the eighth major signing of the summer.
The news will come as a major boost to Bilic who wants to strengthen the squad and add more quality as the Club prepare for a number of games in both domestic and European competition.
The Hammers have been struck by a number of major injury problems particularly in the striking areas and Slaven Bilic has made it clear that he would like to bring in another forward.
The Club have been strongly linked with moves for Wilfried Bony, Loic Remy and Simone Zaza and my sources have confirmed to me that the Club are at an advanced stage of negotiations to sign a top international forward.
