Following the success of West Ham United’s historic first European fixture at London Stadium, the Club would like to thank the many supporters who have since shared their comments, queries and feedback.

We are absolutely delighted to report that, since the final whistle sounded on Thursday evening, we have been inundated with messages of positivity and thanks.

As with any Stadium move of this magnitude, there is a transitional period for everyone concerned and, naturally, there will be areas to improve upon. But to have begun in such a positive fashion, on and off the pitch, is very encouraging.

But the hard work continues and, with your help, together we can improve the matchday experience still further.

We are asking that you be our eyes and ears. Please tell us what you think is working well and what we could be doing better. So thank you for all your emails to [email protected] and do keep them coming.

For one thing, a number of you have told us that there were not enough programme sellers on the concourse and so it proved tricky to get hold of one. This is easily remedied and we will be making the appropriate adjustments for the Betway Cup on Sunday.

Supporters have also remarked about persistent standing in certain areas of the ground, particularly in the East Stand. As a result, the Club have since had an extensive debrief with matchday stewards, who will be paying particularly close attention to the issue from Sunday onwards.

This is a learning curve for us all at the new Stadium and we hope to start as we mean to go on. We ask, therefore, that supporters are considerate of one another, particularly where supporters’ enjoyment of the game is being seriously hindered.

Supporters are reminded that standing in seated areas while play is in progress is strictly forbidden.

On a separate note, the shuttle buses ferrying supporters with accessibility requirements to and from Stratford Station worked particularly well, both before and after the game, and these will absolutely become a permanent fixture for all Hammers home matches.

The Club is also continuing to work in conjunction with Transport for London to improve supporters’ return journeys and will communicate any additional matchday travel instructions or guidance as and when applicable.

And finally, all the feedback we have received regarding catering has been passed directly to our catering partner and thus all of the Stadium’s outlets will be stocked accordingly on Sunday.
