Victor Moses has made a pretty good start to life with West Ham United.
Since signing for the Club on loan from Chelsea on deadline day, the Nigeria international has set up a goal in Monday’s 2-0 win against Newcastle and then got on the scoresheet himself as the Hammers ended Manchester City’s perfect start to the season on Saturday.
Following the 2-1 victory at Etihad Stadium, the Hammers have now triumphed at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this term, leaving Moses delighted.
“It’s not a bad way to start!” he confirmed. “Winning two games in a row is fantastic and it’s great credit to the lads. I’m delighted.
“We’re pleased with the three points, it’s a massive win and we just want to keep on winning games now.
“I was very happy to score. I should have scored against Newcastle but it wasn’t to be. I scored today and hopefully it’s the first of many for West Ham.
“I saw that Joe Hart thought I was going to cross the ball, so I caught him unawares. It was a great goal.”
Victory in Manchester was a real team effort and Moses had special praise for the players at the defensive end of the pitch.
He added: “When it was 2-0 I thought we could have scored more goals, but then City scored and we had to defend really well in the second half.
“Reid was on fire today, everyone at the back was solid and we deserved the win. They have great players and were pushing to try to score but it wasn’t the day for them.”
