Development Centres return!

Next week sees the return of the Foundation’s Football Development Centres
Next week sees the return of the Foundation’s Football Development Centres across four venues throughout east London and Essex.

The 10-week Centres are for boys and girls aged 5-14 that would like extra training during the week to improve their football skills.

Foundation coaches will look to improve participant’s technical ability through a variety of drills including passing, dribbling and running with the ball, finishing and receiving the ball.

Players who show excellent football ability and attitude throughout the programme will be invited to attend an Advance Centre at the end of the 10-weeks.

These sessions will be delivered by Academy coaches and provide an opportunity to be spotted for an Academy trial. During last season 11 boys were invited to trial, with two players earning a place within the Academy.

Additionally, there are goalkeeper specific sessions delivered in both Newham and Thurrock.

All sessions are delivered by professional West Ham United Foundation coaches, who have a minimum FA Level 2 or UEFA B licence coaching qualification and safeguarding and first aid certificates.
