West Ham United will mark the Greatest Moments in Boleyn Ground history when Chelsea visit on Saturday 24 October

West Ham United will continue the historic Farewell Boleyn season by celebrating the Greatest Moments in Boleyn Ground history.

The Barclays Premier League visit of Chelsea on Saturday 24 October will be themed for the unforgettable victories, promotions and other events in the history of the Hammers’ home of 110 years.

Perhaps you are old enough to remember Bobby Moore’s debut as a 17-year-old in 1958, or were part of the emotional tributes paid to the great man inside and outside the stadium following his passing in 1993?

Was it the night West Ham roared back to defeat Eintracht Franfurt in the 1976 European Cup Winners’ Cup semi-finals?

Were you here the afternoon West Ham secured their place in the Premier League for the first time? The afternoon Ludek Miklosko stopped Manchester United winning the title in 1995? Or the night the lights went out against Crystal Palace in 1997?

Was our FA Youth Cup final demolition of Coventry City in front of a packed Boleyn in 1999 your favourite moment? Or maybe you were you there to welcome HM The Queen and Prince Philip when the Royal couple came to open the new West Stand in May 2002?

Perhaps you are a little younger and your memories are more recent? Did you cry on the afternoon in 2003 that Paolo Di Canio bid his own farewell to the Boleyn? How about the night in 2004 that the roof was lifted off the Boleyn Ground by a Play-Off semi-final victory over Ipswich Town?

Maybe you were there the afternoon Yossi Benayoun scored against Tottenham Hotspur in 2006? Or the following year when Tevez, Noble, Zamora and company fired the Hammers to the Great Escape?
We will be marking the Greatest Goals in Boleyn Ground history later this season, so delve deep into your Hammers memory banks and let us know the Claret and Blue moments that stick in your minds!

The Club would also like you to play your part in picking the Greatest Moments in Boleyn Ground history, by nominating your own favourite memories on social media. To do so, simply start following us on Twitter @whufc_official and tweet us your Greatest Moment using the hashtag #BoleynMoments.

Could you get together your own Claret and Blue Army for a rendition of Bubbles? Or perhaps you want to recreate our 1976 European Cup Winners’ Cup win over Eintracht Frankfurt in Lego? Or maybe you want to recreate the snowy night in 2010 that Carlton Cole and Jonathan Spector put Manchester United out of the League Cup with your friends at the local park?
