Sky Sports legend Martin Tyler is looking forward to commentating on the final ever season at the Boleyn Ground and is expecting an exciting game when West Ham United face Newcastle in the live televised clash on Monday night.
Tyler has many fond memories of his broadcasting career in east London and always enjoys seeing the Hammers in action.
The 69-year-old attended the Club's training ground on Friday as he finalised his extensive pre-match research and watched the players train ahead of the big game.
Tyler is looking forward to seeing West Ham United's new signings in action and is expecting an exciting season under new manager Slaven Bilic.
Tyler said: “Games are always special under the lights at Upton Park. It was a great part of my football education and it will be sad to say goodbye to the Boleyn Ground. But it is a great for the Club when they move into the new Stadium.
“I expect a committed and determined West Ham on Monday night. I have listened to Slaven and I expect them to play with a sense of purpose.
“I think Slaven is a great appointment. He brings his own style and obviously has the Club in his heart from his playing days. Winning at Arsenal and Liverpool is a good message to the supporters. He brings a huge amount of experience from the top level.”
