West Ham United 4-0 Blackpool
Championship
15 October 2011

The Hammers handed the Seasiders a thrashing courtesy of a three-goal frenzy in eight second-half minutes.

John Carew had given the home side the lead after twelve minutes when he headed home a Julien Faubert cross.

Two minutes after half-time Sam Baldock doubled the lead, before getting his second just four minutes later when the striker raced onto a Matt Taylor pass to place a low shot past Matt Gilks.

Jack Collison completed the rout after 54 minutes when his volley took a deflection and left the visiting goalkeeper with no chance.

The win moved the Hammers to second in the Championship table, although they would ultimately finish third and achieve promotion back to the Premier League via the Play-Offs.
