Classic match
West Ham United 4-0 Wigan Athletic
Championship
29 November 2003
After eight draws from his opening nine matches in charge, the other being a defeat, Alan Pardew finally masterminded a win as the Hammers tore Wigan Athletic apart at the Boleyn Ground.
Kevin Horlock opened both the scoring and his account for the Club as he turned in Brian Deane's cross after only four minutes.
After Jason Jarrett had scored an own-goal after 17 minutes, Wigan lost two players to red cards before Marlon Harewood slammed home a 55th minute penalty.
Harewood rounded off the scoring by netting his second of the game as he chipped the ball over the on-rushing John Filan with 15 minutes remaining.
