Classic match
West Ham United 7-3 Charlton Athletic
Division Two
26 November 1932
Ten goals hit the back of the net on this incredible Boleyn Ground day 83 years ago.
Three Charlton Athletic goals went past West Ham United goalkeeper George Watson, but that was not to matter as the Hammers showed their scoring prowess at home once again.
West Ham's fans were getting used to having plenty to cheer at home, with the previous three home games yielding 14 Hammers goals. They added seven to their tally against the hapless Addicks, with Vic Watson and Arthur Wilson both bagging braces.
John Morton, Tommy Yews and Jim Barrett also got in on the act to help the Hammers to what turned out to be a vital two-point haul - they ended up avoiding relegation to the third tier by just a solitary point.
