The Moore Family Foundation celebrated its first sponsored fundraising event over the bank holiday weekend with the Be Moore fun run at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
A bumper crowd was in attendance to take part in the event and help raise funds for the continuous work carried out by the Foundation.
The runners and walkers had the opportunity to take in the Club’s imminent new surroundings as they meandered around the new Stadium, down to the canal and back past the Aquatics Centre, before crossing the finish line to receive their Moore Family Foundation medal.
The run, which saw participants adorning bespoke MFF T-shirts, was followed by a raffle, with prizes including a signed ball by the First Team, stadium tour and tickets to a match next season.
With key aims around healthy lifestyles, Diabetes UK was in attendance to provide information on eating well and how people at risk can combat the condition through being active.

Roberta Moore, daughter of the late, great Bobby Moore, and charity founder greeted the crowd before taking to the run herself.
“It’s been a wonderful turnout, especially on a bank holiday Monday and to be able to do this at West Ham United’s new home is very fitting.
“To put on an event involving running and walking helps to promote our message of living a healthy lifestyle and we’re really pleased Diabetes UK have come here to support us today in memory of my brother Dean.
“The BM6 programme has been incredible and the West Ham United Foundation has been absolutely amazing in delivering it, we really could not have done it without them. For this to be our first fundraising event as a charity, I could not have wished for more and next year will be bigger and better.”
Established in Bobby Moore’s memory, the Moore Family Foundation is providing life-changing opportunities for some 18,000 Year 6 students in Newham, Tower Hamlets, Barking & Dagenham, Thurrock, Brentwood and Basildon over the next three years.
