West Ham United 4-0 Middlesbrough
16 May 1999
Premier League
Harry Redknapp's West Ham United ended the season with a flourish thanks to this thumping 4-0 win over Middlesbrough 16 years ago.
The Hammers were hardly in sparkling form heading into the season finale, having lost 5-1 at home to Leeds United, before shipping six at Goodison Park the following weekend.
But it took the hosts just four minutes to hit their stride in this one at the Boleyn Ground, as Frank Lampard broke the deadlock with his fifth league goal of the campaign.
Frenchman Marc Keller made it two after 26 minutes, before Trevor Sinclair and Paolo Di Canio both struck in the space of three second-half minutes to seal a stylish end to the club's most successful Premier League campaign.
This win, coupled with Aston Villa's 1-0 defeat at Arsenal lifted the Hammers into fifth with a final tally of 57 points, their reward a place in the summer's UEFA Intertoto Cup.
