Elliot Lee concluded his loan spell with Luton Town by helping the Hammers to a 2-0 victory over Stevenage, setting up Mark Cullen's opener.
The young forward scored three goals in eleven outings for the Kenilworth Road side.
Also in Sky Bet League Two, Sean Maguire started as Accrington Stanley came from behind to defeat Mansfield Town by a 2-1 scoreline.
Maguire ends the campaign having scored seven goals in 31 appearances for Accrington this season.
Meanwhile, Academy graduates Jordan Spence and Rob Hall were celebrating promotion to the Championship after MK Dons overhauled Preston North End on the final day thanks to a 5-1 win over Yeovil, coupled with the Lilywhires' 1-0 loss at Colchester United.
The three points kept Colchester up, and came via the boot of another Academy graduate - George Moncur.
Finally, Modibo Maiga's Metz are on the brink of relegation to the French Ligue 2 after their 2-0 defeat to Marseille. Les Grenats are now eight points from safety with three games to play.
