West Ham United have produced a special 100-page European Cup Winners' Cup 50th anniversary programme
West Ham United have published a special 1965 European Cup Winners’ Cup 50th anniversary programme for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League fixture with Burnley.

With a 1965 retro-style cover, the issue contains interviews with the players who were part of West Ham United’s greatest achievement, including Martin Peters MBE, Sir Geoff Hurst, Ronnie Boyce, Ken Brown, John Sissons, Brian Dear, as well as Ant Sealey, the son of match-winner Alan.

Each programme is polywrapped with a re-printed issue of the 1965 final programme v TSV Munich 1860.

Midfielder and 1964 FA Cup final hero Boyce set up Sealey’s opening goal. He said: “The final was the best game I’ve ever been involved with, It was a Wednesday evening at Wembley, a full house. Munich were a very good side, full of internationals. Rudi Brunnenmeier was a great player, while their goalkeeper Petar Radenkovic was also very good.

“My standout memory was Brian Dear, who came in for Johnny Byrne, got tackled by Radenkovic on the halfway line. Whenever I see Brian we have a laugh about it!

“It was a great game of football, and Alan Sealey, god bless his soul, scored two good goals. It was very nice to be part of the first team that won a European cup for West Ham United.”

With 16 pages of 50th anniversary content, the 100-page special comes with all the usual match-related content, including interviews with Burnley’s former Hammer Matt Taylor, Carl Jenkinson, Andy Carroll and columns penned by Joint-Chairman David Sullivan, manager Sam Allardyce and captain Kevin Nolan.

Saturday’s programme will be available in and around the Boleyn Ground on matchday at the usual cover price of £3.50, while the digital issue (with exclusive video content) will be available from 9am on matchday for just £1.99.
