West Ham United 2-1 Everton
FA Cup Sixth Round
11 March 1991

Second Division West Ham United were in the middle of an excellent FA Cup run, having defeated Aldershot, Luton Town and Crewe Alexandra to set up a Boleyn Ground quarter final with Everton.

The Toffees were enjoying a mid-table top flight season, but they came unstuck in east London, losing 2-1 in front of a crowd of a crowd of 28,162.

Colin Foster and Stuart Slater were the men on target as the Hammers added an FA Cup semi-final appearance to their promotion effort.

However, there was to be no Wembley appearance in the final as Nottingham Forest ended the run with a 4-0 victory at Villa Park.

West Ham would put that disappointment behind them to secure a second place finish in the table to earn their place back at the top table.
