Ladies appoint new Joint-Chairmen

West Ham United Ladies have appointed John and Stephen Hunt as the club's new Joint-Chairmen
West Ham United Ladies FC are pleased to announce the appointment of new Joint-Chairmen John Hunt and Stephen Hunt.

The club are now looking to an exciting future, with the new Joint-Chairmen issuing the following statement:

First we would like to pay tribute to the outgoing chairman Ray Wood and thank him for his hard work. We are in no doubt as to what challenges lay before us and we hope we may continue to have Ray’s support and be able to seek his advice long into the future.

Ray, like the rest of the committee and staff of West Ham United LFC give a lot of their time to the cause of women's sport and in our meetings with him and the committee we have been in awe of the effort they have all put in; without them this club could not exist! We can only hope we will be able to meet the very high standards that have been set.

On the pitch, the teams look good and Julian Dicks is doing a fantastic job in building the first team and working behind the scenes on helping us support the main club. We have also watched some coaching sessions with the Development Squad and we suspect‎ we have seen future England players at work!

The appointment of new people to an organisation is an opportunity to change direction, redouble efforts and push on to higher levels.

As we draw near to the end of a season, we have the chance to win the London FA Capital Women’s Cup on 6 May and end the season on a high. Our Junior and Development teams rank among the strongest in the country, with hope that competition to get into those teams will only increase.

It is easy to become complacent, however there is still much to do and we are focused on reviewing every aspect of the club so that next season all of our teams at every level benefits from improvement.

Lastly, we want to have fun and we want everyone involved in the club to have fun too. West Ham United LFC are an important part of the West Ham United family and, with the move to the Olympic Stadium to look forward to, there are plenty of exciting times ahead.

If you have not been to a game then we urge you to sign up to the twitter account and to receive details of the matches and other events. West Ham United LFC needs your support…at every level!

COYI!

John Hunt and Stephen Hunt
