In our exciting new feature on whufc.com, the Boleyn Insider blog will bring you exclusive insight into the behind-the-scenes goings on at the Boleyn Ground.
The Boleyn Insider will try to offer a digest on the latest gossip from around the Club and the major transfer speculation surrounding the first-team. In today's blog, he reveals that a major signing could be announced in the next 72 hours.
As the Club prepare to embark on their European adventure with the first qualifying round of the Europa League taking place next week I can reveal that West Ham supporters could have even more reason to be excited heading into the start of the season.
There have been numerous reports suggesting the Club are ready to make a multi-million pound offer for one of the star performers in Europe.
My understanding is that the Club are now confident of finalising a deal in the next 72 hours and that it will be the first eight figure signing of the summer.
The Club are certainly showing their intent for next season and are determined to bring the best players to the Boleyn Ground as new manager Slaven Bilic prepares for a busy schedule in both domestic and European competition.
West Ham have also been linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic who has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs.
But my sources have told me that the east London club were never in the market to sign the Serbia international.
There have also been reports linking Roma striker Mattia Destro with a move to the Boleyn Ground but I believe that is just speculation and the Club will continue to work hard in their attempts to strengthen the squad.
